Business Description
|
Don Melchor Concha y Toro built the casona in 1875 so he could lead his family around the budding winery during the summers. His wife, Emiliana Subercaseaux, oversaw construction of the hacienda’s house that had to be a typically Chilean estate residence, albeit with splashes of Italian architecture. Set amid parkland, like many country homes, 23 hectares were laid out by French landscape artist Guillaume Renner around a core of native trees towards the end of the nineteenth century.
