Moving to the Central Coast in 1996, the Kroeners operated Silver Horse from a converted barn for several years. In 2002, the family decided to embark on an extensive renovation of the existing operation. The result is a wonderful new facility; the winery includes a crush pad, production area, barrel storage, and case goods warehouse, while the stunning new tasting room is unlike any other in the Paso Robles area. Situated on a hilltop overlooking hundreds of acres of vineyards, the tasting room features a sit-down bistro atmosphere, wood-burning fireplace, and elegant hacienda-style appointments such as 100-year-old ceramic roof tiles. Visitors are treated to breathtaking views of some of the Central Coast’s most beautiful vistas, and -- with bocce ball and horseshoes, outdoor patios and several elegant indoor facilities -- the venue begs for special events of all kinds,
